Case Study One
Parents contacted us in relation to the lack of therapy provision available to two of their children, who had special needs and attended a special school. A letter was sent to the Trust and a response received which outlined current and future provision. However, this did not materialise and a further letter was sent asking for an update and a timetable of when the extra assistance would be put in place. They responded outlining the present recruitment situation and a copy was forwarded to mum. Subsequently, a Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist started work at the school for a number of days a week. In a separate development the daughter was allocated a full-time classroom assistant. Parents were delighted with the outcome.
