Access to Information

Here on our website we publish a lot of information about who we are and what we do. However there may be things about NICCY and our business which you would like further information on. In this part of our website we explain how you can get this information.

Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000

The Freedom of Information (FOI) Act makes it easier for you to get information about us. This law, which came into force on 1 January 2005, means that anyone, anywhere can ask for any information we hold.

Please contact NICCY’s Human Resources Officer (Freedom of Information Officer) for more information – info@niccy.org.

Data Protection

The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) came into effect from 25th May 2018. This replaces the Data Protection Act of 1998. Many of the GDPR’s main concepts and principles are the same as those detailed in the DPA.

You can find out more about this here.

Publication Scheme

In order to comply with the Freedom of Information Act, public sector organisations such as NICCY routinely publish information whenever possible.

The Information Commissioner is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and has drawn up a Model Publication Scheme for all public sector organisations which NICCY have adopted.

If you would like any further information please contact the Human Resources officer.
