The Commissioner has provided evidence to the Westminster Bill Committee that is examining the Protection of Freedoms Bill which will change how staff and volunteers working with children will be vetted. The Commissioner, who also raised concerns about the Bill with the previous NI Health Minister, has outlined the areas of the legislation that should be strengthened to make sure children and young people are properly protected.
