Jack is NICCY's 'Make it Right' character for June. He represents children and young people's access to play and leisure in Northern Ireland.

The benefits of children's play will be celebrated by children and young people from across Northern Ireland on Sunday 20th June at a 'Play Day' at the Ulster Museum. The event is part of NICCY's 'Make it Right' campaign and helping to launch it are Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People, Patricia Lewsley; Grace Radford (NMNI Youth Panel) and Paddy Gilmore, NMNI.

The Commissioner for Children and Young People, Patricia Lewsley, hosted at Play Day at the Ulster Museum as part of her ongoing 'Make it Right' campaign. Helping her on the day were NICCY Youth Panel members Carla, Barry, Scott, Robert, Suzanne and Eve.

Joseph Fitzpatrick from the Divis Youth Project, Belfast, receives the top photography prize from the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People, Patricia Lewsley. Joseph took a photo of where he lived to highlight both the positive aspects of play as well as highlight the challenges as part of 'Here we are... Nowhere'. His photographs will be exhibited at the Ulster Museum as part of the 'Play Day'.

Sam Madden from Lisburn, receives the top short film prize from the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People, Patricia Lewsley. Sam produced a short film which conveyed some of the problems of play and leisure in Lisburn.

Gerard Murphy, a member of Belfast Computer Clubhouse, receives a special recognition award for his technical photography skills from the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People, Patricia Lewsley. Gerard took a vibrant photograph showcasing skateboarding where he lives.

To mark National Bookstart Day 2010 on Friday 11 June libraries across Northern Ireland will be holding events. The Commissioner for Children and Young People, Patricia Lewsley, Hollywood Arches Library with Kim Aiken from Libraries NI and Bookstart National Development Manager Liz Canning.
