The team is made up of three members:

Senior Legal and Investigations Officer - Colette Donaghy LLB (Hons)

  • Colette studied Law and Politics at Queen’s University Belfast and graduated in 2000. She completed her Certificate of Professional Legal Studies at the Institute for Legal Studies from 2000-2002. In 2002 she qualified as a Solicitor and worked in private practice in which her main focus was around Child and Family Law.

    Colette joined the public sector in August 2010 and from this joined NICCY in September 2010 as Senior Legal and Investigation Officer.

Legal and Investigations Officer - Mairead McGreevy LLB (Hons)

  • Mairead studied Government and Law at Ulster University, graduating in 2004. She obtained her Legal Practice Certificate at the College of Law in Chester in 2005 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2009. She worked in private practice in Liverpool for 5 years representing adults and young people detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 before the First-Tier Tribunal.

    Mairead has worked in the public sector for the last 3 years and joined NICCY in September 2018 as Legal & Investigations Officer.

Legal and Investigations Advice Officer - Deborah Crawford LL.M  

  • Deborah has been working in the voluntary sector for over 15 years. She joined NICCY in November 2013, before this she worked as an Outreach Worker for the Citizens Advice Bureau, a Welfare Officer for WAVE Trauma Centre and an Advice Worker for Victim Support. She graduated in 2016 with an LL.M in Human Rights Law.
