There are three elements to NICCY’s online training:
Course Outline:
The module helps you explore how your role can impact children’s lives. This module explores children as rights holders, adults as duty bearers and how the actions of government impact children more than any other group. Decisions about education, public health, migration, employment, social welfare and other global issues have life-long effects.
Course Objectives:
The aim is to help participants understand the needs of children as rights holders, the importance of their rights in relation to your role and how you can access support available to support you deliver on children’s rights.
By the end of the module participants will be able to:
Aimed at: This module is for staff in statutory agencies who work with children and young people or whose work impacts children and young people.
Duration: Approx 45 minutes.
Course Outline:
This module is the ‘next stage’ companion to the Introduction of Children’s Rights module and is designed to build the capacity of participants to conduct Child Rights Impact Assessments (CRIAs).
Course Objectives:
The course aims to help participants understand the benefits of undertaking CRIAs and how to integrate them in the development of policies, legislation, budgets, services, practice or planning decisions.
By the end of the module participants will be able to:
