Claire Tennyson – Communications and Engagement Officer

Claire joined NICCY In February 2023. Her background is in local government communications and prior to that she built up 10 years experience as a journalist covering stories all over Northern Ireland.

She graduated from the University of Ulster with a degree in Communications and then pursued a post-graduate qualification in Newspaper Journalism.

In her role at NICCY, Claire works with the Corporate Services Team to the Chief Executive in implementing the Corporate Communications Strategy and associated programmes in delivering on, and promoting Corporate and Business Plan activities.

She is also responsible for public affairs’ communications and engagement activity overall.

In her spare time, Claire is a busy mum of three girls and when she has the time she enjoys keeping fit and teaching Irish Dancing.
