Advice on Department of Education’s consultation on School Uniform Policy

NICCY welcomes the Department of Education’s consultation on school uniform policy. Moreover, the way that the consultation document sets out the rationale behind the proposed changes, and provides clear questions relating to each proposal is very helpful. This paper therefore focusses on answering each of the questions in turn. We held a workshop with members of the NICCY Youth Panel (NYP), who provided advice based on their experiences and opinions, and these have been incorporated into this response.
