NICCY welcomes the opportunity to respond to the consultation on the draft Strategy and that the Department has conducted, and published, a Children’s Rights Impact Assessment (CRIA).
Furthermore, we welcome the recognition of children and young people specifically as victims and witnesses of crime, as one of the five pillars.
The actions relating to children and young people in this draft Strategy must also be reflected in all the other pillars, priority areas and associated actions.
