NICCY welcomes the Draft Environmental Principles Policy Statement for NI
NICCY believes that the establishment of an independent environmental protection agency is in the best interests of children in protecting their right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment. A child rights impact assessment should be conducted as part of this review on environmental governance and should complement ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the impact of any forthcoming measures on children’s rights.
