NICCY has provided a response to the Department for Infrastructure’s consultation, Safer Journeys to School: Consultation on overtaking and passing buses.
We support the proposal that the prohibition would apply to all stationary buses, not only dedicated school buses, and the approach that treats overtaking a stationary bus in the environments outlined by the Department as generally prohibited, rather than relying on case-by-case driver judgement.
