Respecting the rights of vulnerable groups of children

HLCO 7: All Children and Young People who are vulnerable due to poverty, family background, age, disability or other reasons will not experience discrimination but enjoy their rights on an equal basis to other children.

Summary of our work

NICCY has eight High Level Corporate Objectives (HLCO) and under number Seven we are working on the following:

Under this objective we will focus on the rights of groups of children who often experience discrimination or disadvantage. This includes children who are detained by the state, children in poverty, separated children subject to immigration control, and children with disabilities.
