NICCY gets accredited!

On 01 March 2022 NICCY was awarded the ‘We invest in people: Silver Accreditation’.  This represents a 2 step jump from the previous Standard Accreditation which NICCY was awarded in 2019. The Silver award is a reflection of the commitment of NICCY in making the organisation a great place to work for its’ employees.

Some of the key areas outlined in the report received following our assessment by Investors in People are:

• Adaptive leadership capabilities which supported staff during the Covid pandemic and facilitated adjustment to new ways of working.
• Ensuring partners, stakeholders and staff help shape strategies and initiatives with planning processes and measurement of progress in place.
• People feel empowered to carry out their jobs with clear structures in place and staff are provided with the skills and knowledge they need.
• Proactive communication and involvement. There is a willingness to be open and engage, encouraging people to ask questions and voice concerns.
• Positive impact of improvement actions evidenced in staff survey results with the majority of staff agreeing NICCY is a great place to work.
• Improvement efforts making a difference to staff with demonstration of sustained commitment to enhance culture and ways of working through leadership, staff engagement, communication and performance management.
